I was reading this article about the new Lady Gaga song, Born This Way and how it supposedly sounds alarmingly like Madonna’s Express Yourself. (It totally does). 

Resulting conversation between Mike and I:

Ali: People are critiziing Lady Gaga’s new song for sounding just like an old Madonna song. It’s true, but so did her Alejandro song. It sounded just like La Isla Bonita.

Mike: *blank stare*

Ali: What? You even made that observation before.

Mike: *blanker stare*

Ali: WHAT?

Mike: Words are coming out of your mouth but I don’t understand any of them.

Ali: WTF are you talking about? I know we had the conversation.

Mike: I honestly have no idea what the words you are saying even mean.

So, I pull up both videos - La Isla Bonita and Alejandro to jog his memory.

After starting the Madonna one-

Mike: What in the hell is this? How old is this song? Why would I know it?

Ali: It’s a freakin’ Madonna song. How can you NOT know it?

Mike: Because I was 6. And I have a penis. And I like GIRLS. 

Ali: You’re kidding me.

Mike: NO. And why the fuck would I know any dumb Lady Gaga song besides Bad Romance. And I only know that because you played that episode of Glee a thousand times.

Ali: Unbelievable. I’m putting this on the internet.

Mike: PLEASE DO. I need to reblog this so I can point out again that you’re old.

Ali has conversations in her head with an older, gay version of me.
